HASE CNC
CNC lathe selection for shafts and sleeves
Shaft and sleeve work needs a review of the blank, finished dimensions, bore, workholding and support, together with the required turning operations.
Describe shafts and sleeves separately
- For shafts, provide blank and finished length, diameter, material, mass, unsupported length, tolerances and surface requirements.
- For sleeves and tubular work, also provide outside and inside diameters, bore requirements and the intended chucking method. State whether stock must pass through the spindle.
Review support, tooling and datums
- List facing, outside turning, boring, grooves and internal or external threads. Include a drawing showing the features and reference datums.
- Discuss tailstock, steady-rest and loading needs with the technical team. Spindle passage, chucking, support and tool access must be checked together against the actual part.
Separate repair from recurring production
- Repair enquiries should describe worn surfaces, machining allowance and usable reference datums. Production enquiries should include blank condition, process sequence, batch size and expected workload.
- Send the part information, workshop electrical supply and destination. Original parameter tables support the review; final capacity, configuration, quotation and order require human confirmation.
